Usefulness

We are all trying to make our associations, our content, and our services useful to our members.  That's how we achieve relevance - by clearly identifying who our members are and then being useful to them.

Our webinar yesterday on Harnessing Technology was about finding ways to be useful through providing innovative technology-based member services.  We looked at some examples of associations who have pioneered this work, and considered why those services were attractive to members.  Then we used them as a starting point for creating some of our own ideas.  Once we had developed some ideas, we considered how to pin them down, evaluate them and get them moving forward.
